Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce Launches Sky Valley Insider to Reward Visitors and Residents for Exploring and Shopping along HWY 2, from Monroe to Skykomish, WA
Sultan, WA – May 31, 2018 – Today, the Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce launched the free Sky Valley Insider mobile app, which rewards users for visiting unique points of interest throughout Sky Valley, which includes the towns of Skykomish, Baring, Grotto, Index, Gold Bar, Startup, Sultan and Monroe, WA. Once people use the app to collect points at various destinations, they can redeem those points for rewards at area businesses. Sky Valley Insider was created using the 468 Insider platform from 468 Communications.
“The Sky Valley has adventures for every season and for every type of travel,” said Debbie Copple, Executive Director of the Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce. “As if the natural splendor weren’t enough, The Sky Valley Insider app will reward both visitors and residents for exploring the valley and shopping at local businesses within our communities.”
Sky Valley Insider is both a wayfinding tool and a gamified way to reward people for shopping locally. The app’s Explore button takes users to the map of Sky Valley, which has pins indicating the location of the area’s unique points of interest, from heritage sites to places for outdoor recreation. Clicking on each pin on the map gives more information about that place. Locations are assigned a point value. Pushing the “Collect Points” button while physically visiting a location will add the location’s points to a user’s point total.
Points accumulated with the Sky Valley Insider app can be redeemed for goods or services at any of the Rewards locations listed in the app.
The Sky Valley Insider app is available now as a free download on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. Local businesses interested in offering a reward to increase traffic to their place of business should contact Debbie Copple at firstname.lastname@example.org.
